Mounting

Traditional mounting &
Conventional framing

This is where the artwork sits behind a bevelled cut window mount. The frame sits over the edge of the mount.
Floating
Here the artwork sits on top of the mountboard. This method is particularly suited to artwork with an uneven surface and for three dimensional pieces. Feather floating
A spacer is placed between the artwork and the mountboard, creating a suspended look. Both these methods are used in conjunction with box framing.
